ABOUT THE LINEN UNION HEMSTITCH DESIGN:

A bestseller since it was created for The Savoy Hotel in London over 40 years ago, and now available in a range of pastel shades and contemporary colours. REED has the flax shortage of the 1970s to thank for the creation of Hem Stitch bed linen, when The Savoy asked us to design a cotton-based alternative to their traditional linens. A clever combination of cotton warp yarns and 100% linen weft threads gives the feel of pure linen, yet it is much easier to iron and more crease resistant.
